Two Canton residents were arrested early Friday morning on meth charges.
According to a post on Facebook from the City of Canton Police Department, police found two people passed out in a vehicle, while parked in the Hy-Vee parking lot around 3:30 Friday morning.
Officers, while on routine patrol, came upon the vehicle and had to awaken the occupants inside.
Police found one syringe loaded with suspected meth inside of the front passenger door. Another syringe was found inside of the vehicle with the needle exposed. Officers located two more used syringes in the vehicle, and another outside, as well as a small digital scale and a container of plastic baggies.
The report indicates, 33-year old Terzanne Slater, and 27-year old Cody R. Hanks, were taken into custody and charged with possession of meth and unlawful possession of a syringe. They were both taken to Fulton County Jail to await their first court appearance.
