A local home improvement store will have a new location by the end of this year.
Builders Warehouse will leave 812 Washington St. in Peoria, and move seven blocks down the road.
President of Builders Warehouse, John Coker, said in a press release “The current 812 SW. Washington location will be remodeled into apartments”.
The new location will still host the home improvement retail showroom with the same products, and more.
“Now it’s time for us to refresh and offer a more open, single floor showroom that has space to see all our home improvement products,” Coker said.
Coker said the transition of moving locations will be smooth, and the new location will be up and running after a long weekend.
Coker started the business 22 years ago, and is happy to see the progress the Warehouse District has made.
