(25 News)–20 people are displaced after a kitchen fire inside an East Peoria apartment complex.
Officials say it began around 1 a.m. Thursday at the Tall Oaks Apartment Complex off of Briarwood, when a woman was cooking a funnel cake inside her unit.
Four departments were called in to help fight the fire, which is not believed to be suspicious.
No one was injured.
The Red Cross is helping those inside Building F, where the fire originated.
