(25 News) — The Peoria County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver of a car they say severed a gas line to a house, before taking off.
It happened just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of North Western Avenue.
The Fire Chief told 25 News that a car smashed through a guard rail, hitting the gas line.
The homeowner was taken to the hospital, complaining of lightheadedness.
Damage estimates are unknown.
A description of the car is also unknown.
