Police make new arrests in connection to a shooting on Peoria’s East Bluff.
On Monday, officers were called to the 400 block of E. Arcadia, and located a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
This week, detectives gathered additional information during the investigation, that led to the identity and arrest of a 16 year old juvenile for the shooting.
Additionally, a 17 year old juvenile was arrested for battery and mob action for his involvement in the incident.
Peoria Police Information Officer Amy Dotson says, after further investigation into the shooting incident, it was determined that the 15 year old juvenile arrested in possession of a stolen firearm, was not the individual responsible for shooting the juvenile victim.
This information has been conveyed to the State’s Attorney’s Office.
