Peoria Police have made two arrests in connection to an East Bluff shooting.
Breaon Jones, 27, and Prentice Augusta, 28, were arrested around 11 a.m. Wednesday, as part of an ongoing investigation.
On Tuesday August 6th, Police found a 38-year old man shot around 12:15 p.m. in 2900 block of N. Peoria Ave.
His injuries were reported to be life-threatening.
An investigation led police to Jones. A parole violation warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Wednesday, officers spotted Jones and Augusta in a vehicle in the 2700 block of West Lake. While leaving the vehicle, police converged on the men at a business.
Jones attempted to flee the scene on foot, but was quickly apprehended.
Prentice Augusta reportedly threatened officers and interfered with Jones’ arrest.
Police made a search of the vehicle, and found a pistol in the glove box.
Jones was booked into the Peoria County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of weapons and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
For the shooting, Jones faces charges of aggravated battery with a firearm and attempted murder.
Augusta was arrested for interfering with an arrest and aggravated unlawful use of weapons.
The shooting incident remains under investigation.
