There is potential for severe storm activity beginning Tuesday morning in the Peoria area.
25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins says the main concerns are widespread damaging straight-line winds and large hail.
“But, an isolated tornado is possible along the leading edge of the system. Severe weather will cross the Mississippi River into Western Illinois around 9 a.m.”
Collins says storms are likely to reach the Illinois River and Peoria area about 10 a.m. Tuesday, and Interstate 55 and the Bloomington-Normal area by 11 a.m.
