It is the longest running race of its kind.
Peoria’s Center for Prevention of Abuse, are preparing nearly 30,000 rubber ducks, to compete in the 31st Annual Duck Race.
The Duck Race is the Center’s largest fundraiser, with all the money raised funding prevention and education programs.
According Executive Director Carol Merna, all funds raised for the Duck Race stay local and help us build a safe and peaceful community.
CFPA provides free and confidential services to victims of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, elder abuse, and offers violence prevention education to students in the tri-county area, reaching 35,000 young people each year.
This year, the event will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday (August 24th), and the race will start at 6 p.m.
