Ameren Illinois is hosting an interactive Energy Efficiency Power Hour for local seniors Thursday, August 22, at the Fondulac Park District in East Peoria.
Attendees will have the opportunity to watch energy efficiency demonstrations, as well as hear from advisors on ways to reduce usage and save on monthly bills. Information on utility scams and how to avoid them will be provided as well.
The event is free and includes lunch, live entertainment, a raffle with door prizes and energy efficiency giveaways.
Thursday’s event is one of six Ameren Illinois is hosting across its service territory in conjunction with National Senior Citizen’s Day (August 21).
