Bradley University will be welcoming thousands of students Saturday.
It is move-in day on campus. Expect considerable delays on University Avenue between I-74 and campus especially between 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday, though students will still be moving in throughout the weekend.
The following roads will be closed starting at 7 a.m.: Elmwood at Main, St. James at University, Bradley at Duryea, and Bradley at Institute. Bradley and Peoria city police officers will be in place to assist with traffic flow. Major move-in activity is expected to begin at 8 a.m. Peoria Charter buses will be redirected to the front of Renaissance Coliseum on Main Street rather than the Michel Student Center on both Friday and Saturday.
There are several activities planned for students, including a block party and the “Taste of Bradley” Sunday afternoon. Classes begin on Wednesday.
