The Washington Police Department is cracking down on drivers that pass a stopped school bus.
All of Washington’s school buses are being supplied with forms to identify violators of the school bus law.
Violators will be identified by the bus driver and those violations will be immediately reported to the Washington Police, who will investigate and take proper enforcement action.
In some instances, police officers will ride on a bus so that immediate enforcement can be taken.
Police are asking the public to pay special attention to the buses so that kids can get to and from school safe.
