CityLink announced Wednesday that there will be extended services on N. Knoxville.
Employees and customers of businesses located along Knoxville Ave. north of Illinois Route 6 will have the option to take the bus starting Tuesday Sept. 3.
The businesses that will be served include Schnucks in Knoxville Crossing, Huck’s, McDonald’s, and Walgreens.
“We are pleased to be able to once again provide bus service to the businesses located north of Route 6 on Knoxville Avenue. This is something we tried unsuccessfully back in 2016; however, we have had time to evaluate the area and determine that it is a feasible option now. We are hopeful that strong ridership will justify making this stop a permanent fixture on the #4 Knoxville Route,” said CityLink General Manager Doug Roelfs.
Operated by the #4 Knoxville Route, the stop will be located on the right hand side of the Schnucks complex parking lot near C’est Ally Spa.
Weekday service will start at the 6:15 a.m. outbound lineup from the Transit Center, with the first arrival at the stop at approximately 6:54 a.m.
The service will run through the 5:45 p.m. outbound lineup. The last inbound departure from this stop will return to the Transit Center at approximately 5:24 p.m.
Saturday service will be available at the 8:15 a.m. outbond lineup from the Transit Center, with the first arrival at the stop at approximately 8:54 a.m. T
The service will run through the 3:15 p.m. lineup. The last inbound departure from the stop will be at approximately 4:20 p.m.
Sunday service is currently not available on the #4 Knoxville Route.
