At 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, Peoria Firefighter/Paramedics responded to a two stall, detached garage fire in the 1600 block of W. Circle Rd.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a car inside the garage and fire showing on the front corner of the structure.
Crews had the fire out within two minutes of arrival.
The damage was contained to the outside of the garage.
The cause of the fire appears to have been started by coals from a smoker being placed inside a garbage can.
Crews cleared the scene just before 7:00 a.m. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries and the property was turned over to the homeowner.
