Peoria Firefighters/Paramedics responded to a report of a fire at 2009 N. Central Ave. at 3:53 A.M. Sunday morning.
Heavy smoke and fire were coming from the roof at the front corner at the single story residence. Peoria Firefighters navigated hand lines around downed power lines and advanced to the fire. The fire was confined to the living room and firefighters brought it under control within 10 minutes of arrival.
Other Peoria Firefighters/Paramedics conducted a search of the main level and basement. No one was found inside, and the home was ventilated to remove the smoke.
Red Cross was notified to provide lodging for two adults.
There are no injuries reported at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
