‘Dinner In The Dark’ for a cause.
The upcoming event, in its second year, benefits the Central Illinois Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
The Center’s Molly Pasley tells WMBD’s Greg and Dan that it is a unique experience.
“We’re going to provide people with vision occluding glasses, and ask them to eat dinner without being able to see what they’re doing.”
Pasley, who teaches the blind and visually impaired, said she had a similar experience in college.
“We had a special outing where we went to a dinner, and had to be under blindfold. And, I also had to do a simulation where I had to be be able get around the college campus (without sight),” Pasley said.
The 2nd annual ‘Dinner In The Dark’ will be held at The Warehouse on State, 736 SW Washington in Peoria, on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $100 per person, and available HERE.
