PEORIA, Ill. — A longtime educator is set to become a Peoria County Board Member.
The board on Tuesday named Brandy Bryant the immediate successor to Rachael Parker as the District 5 representative.
Parker was promoted August 19 to the Peoria County Clerk post.
Bryant has worked in early childhood education since 2002, including an 11-year stint as a day care operator.
At the time of Bryant’s appointment, she was serving as Program Director for Peoria Public Schools’ Full Services Community Schools initiative.
District 5 covers central Peoria.
