PEORIA, Ill. –There’s still room for you at Big Table Greater Peoria.
The community building event is being held Tuesday, October 15, at the Peoria Civic Center.
Over 600 people have signed up to participate, according to Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce President Jeff Griffin. But, there’s room for more.
“Imagine 500 people in the Peoria Civic Center Ballroom, broken into tables of 10. Each table with a facilitator. And, then they have a conversation about topics and questions posed by the speakers.”
Griffin tells WMBD’s Greg and Dan, topics will include Workforce Development and Diversity and Inclusion.
“This is meant to get people from all over the region, and we’re having great success with that, to get to the table and give us some fresh ideas that we’re not thinking about. Or, what blind spots are we missing that we could do better in these areas?”
The organizers of Big Table Greater Peoria hope Tuesday’s event will collect regional data that can help identify areas of concern.
