EUREKA, Ill. — A Woodford County board has banned the sale of recreational marijuana.
The Woodford County Zoning Board voted unanimously Tuesday night to ban sales of recreational pot in unincorporated parts of the county.
The board had previously approved a 3-percent tax on recreational marijuana sales, in case an ordinance were reversed.
Peoria and East Peoria have given the green light to recreational pot sales, while Morton and El Paso have banned them.
The full Woodford County Board will vote on the issue next month.
