PEORIA, Ill. – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced new road construction along War Memorial and near the Illinois river. The road construction project is set to begin on Monday October 28th, 2019.
IDOT stated that lane restrictions will be in place along eastbound War Memorial Drive (U.S. 150), between the ramps to and from the southbound Adams Street (Illinois 29) interchange, and across McClugage Bridge.
Expect traffic delays in the work zones when flaggers are present for traffic control.
Additional work is set to begin on Monday, Nov. 4, on the ramp from eastbound U.S. 150, to southbound Main Street (westbound Illinois 116) in East Peoria, where lanes will be narrowed to install temporary pavement.
The construction projects are part of the initial work to build the new McClugage Bridge.
