PEORIA, Ill. — Four people were arrested Wednesday after a fight between two individuals outside Richwoods High School which led to a gun falling on the ground, which police were not immediately able to obtain.
Two others were nabbed Thursday in connection.
Two 15-year-old males and two 16-year-old males were arrested for no FOID, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm by a minor.
One of the 15-year-olds was also arrested for battery.
A 15-year-old female and a 16-year-old male were found and arrested Thursday for battery.
Peoria Police said as of Thursday afternoon the firearm had not been found after searches in two off-campus locales.
In an email to parents, Richwoods Principal Brett Elliott said the gun was not used and “was quickly picked up before those involved in the fight fled.”
Peoria Police said there would continue to be increased security at the school with the ongoing investigation.
“There is not believed to be any credible threat against the school at this time,” Elliott said in the email.
