PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria County Animal Protection Services, or PCAPS, will be closed beginning Monday, Nov. 4, for adoption and viewing hours.
The Peoria County shelter will remain closed until further notice while the parking lot PCAPS shares with the Peoria Humane Society is resurfaced. The start date for the project was pushed back by the contractor from Oct. 30 due to inclement weather.
PCAPS will remain open for residents to claim their missing pets during the parking lot resurfacing.
Staff, Peoria Humane Society volunteers, and pet owners coming to PCAPS to reclaim pets will need to park on Perry Avenue and are urged to use caution when entering and exiting the property.
For more information, contact PCAPS at (309) 672-2440.
