PEORIA, Ill. — In honor of Veterans Day, CityLink is offering free bus rides to veterans all day on Monday, November 11.
“Passengers who are veterans are asked to present a valid veterans identification card or a CityLink half-fare I.D. to the bus operator when they board the bus,” said CityLink Director of Marketing and Public Relations Emily Watson.
CityLink has offered half-fares to veterans and free rides on Veterans Day since 2012.
Watson encourages veterans to visit the downtown Transit Center, located at 407 SW Adams Street in Peoria, to apply for a CityLink half-fare I.D. card if they do not have one.
“It makes the process a lot easier for them to ride at half-fare for the rest of the year,” Watson said.
