PEORIA, Ill. — Longtime Peoria Fire Chief Ed Olehy has announced his retirement.
Olehy announced Thursday his last day will be November 29th.
Anthony Ardis, who joined the department in 1994 and has served as Assistant Chief and Division Chief of Operations, was announced as Olehy’s replacement.
Olehy became a Peoria firefighter in 1989 and served four years as Division Chief of Operations and two years as Assistant Chief.
