PEORIA, Ill. — One of two men charged with a fatal shooting in July 2018 has been convicted.
Peoria County Court records show Jamie Weyrick, 19, of Peoria, was convicted this week after a three day jury trial.
Weyrick had pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges and unlawful possession of a firearm. His sentencing is scheduled for December 22nd.
Ty Pullen, 21, also of Peoria, faces charges of aggravated unlawful use of weapons and obstructing justice in connecting with the fatal shooting.
Pullen’s trial is set to begin on November 12.
The charges stem from the July 8, 2018 shooting death of Terrance Stone.
Stone was found shot in the 900 block of W. Nebraska Avenue in Peoria and later died at a local hospital.
