PEORIA,Ill. — Peoria Police were called around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 600 block of RB Garrett on reports of a stabbing.
Officers located a woman who had been stabbed in the arm. Her injuries were said to be non-life-threatening.
While on the scene, police learned the identity of the suspect, Dreunna Meeks-Wesley, 19, who was found inside a vehicle in the area of Starr and Greenlawn.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said Meeks-Wesley was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and taken to the Peoria County Jail.
An investigation was on-going.
