PEORIA, Ill. — A rollover crash with entrapment kept Peoria emergency crews busy Wednesday night in the 300 block of NE Glen Oak Ave.
Firefighters and paramedics responded shortly after 7:30 to the two-vehicle accident.
The vehicle that had rolled over was on its top when crews arrived.
That vehicle’s driver had to be extricated with special equipment, and then was transported to a local hospital, but with only minor injuries.
Battalion Chief Shawn Sollberger called that a fortunate situation.
“The way it presented, it looked much, much worse than what actually she was dealing with,” he said.
“So that was good.”
Sollberger added the driver was wearing her seat belt.
The driver of the other vehicle refused medical treatment.
Peoria Police cleared the scene once it was cleaned up.
There was no immediate information available regarding fault or cause.
