PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. — A 38-year-old Brimfield man died in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday night.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said Joseph Hersemann, the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m. Sunday at the scene.
The accident happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of West Lancaster Road and Hanna City-Glassford Road, according to Harwood. A passenger was taken to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Hersemann was wearing a seatbelt, Harwood said.
There will not be an autopsy, but a toxicology report was pending.
Responding to the crash were the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, Logan-Trivoli Fire Department and the Timber-Hollis Fire Department.
