PEORIA, Ill. — Samuel Clay Junior, 23, was sentenced on Friday to 19 years in prison, after pleading guilty to aggravated battery in connection with the 2015 shooting death of 14-year-old Tommie Forest.
Clay Junior was one of five men who broke into a home in the 2400 block of N. Flora Avenue and shot Forest, a Peoria High School freshman, who was staying at a friend’s house the night of October 10, 2015.
Peoria Police said four other people were injured in the incident.
In April 2019, Alex Collins, 25, was sentenced to 95 years in prison for first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Kainen Lacy, 24, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for aggravated battery in 2017.
Dontarius Berdin, 23, was sentenced to 21 years earlier this year.
Kiangelo Marshall, 21, was sentenced to 65 years on murder charges in 2017.
