SPRINGFIELD, Il. — The Illinois Lottery has reached out with a reminder to players, while Instant Tickets make great gifts, they are not meant for minors.
Illinois Lottery spokesperson Jason Schaumburg said, please give responsibly when it comes to lottery tickets.
“It’s illegal for anyone under the age of 18 to play, as well as for anyone to give lottery tickets to a person under the age of 18,” Schaumburg said.
Lottery officials indicated, studies show that one of the risk factors for gambling addiction, is gambling at a young age.
