PEORIA, Ill. — Goodwill Industries of Central Illinois has a new service to help clear the clutter from your home. It’s called Goodwill GoodMoves.
Local Goodwill President and CEO Don Johnson said GoodMoves is ideal for anyone wanting to donate clunky furniture items that are just taking up space.
“We come to the homes and actually pick up stuff,” Johnson said.
Johnson told WMBD’s Greg and Dan, you just have to get the item to your garage and make an appointment for pick up.
Goodwill’s Marketing and Communications Director Gretchen Piper said GoodMoves is especially helpful if you don’t have a truck to get larger items to a donation center.
“We try to work with the homeowner’s schedule and our truck route. We even have appointments available on Saturdays,” Piper said.
