PEORIA, Ill. — The Bradley University Police Department has issued a safety alert after an incident Friday night.
Bradley Police and Peoria Police responded to an aggravated assault around 11:23 p.m. Friday outside of the Student Apartment Complex at 828 N. Underhill Street.
A suspect approached a Bradley student and displayed a handgun. The suspect had fled in an unknown direction. The surrounding area was searched by police, but they were unable to locate the suspect.
While no injuries were reported, police will continue to patrol the area.
The suspect was described as a male wearing a dark sweatshirt and dark pants.
The incident remains under investigation.
