PEORIA, Ill. – At-Large Peoria City Councilman Zach Oyler will face trial in 2020.
A jury trial date is set for March 16th in Peoria.
Oyler was arrested on July 30th, 2019 on charges of aggravated domestic battery, interfering with a report of domestic violence and unlawful restraint.
Heather Oyler accused Zach Oyler of making physical contact with her.
Later, Heather Oyler tried three times to get the Peoria County State’s Attorney office to drop the case, but to no avail.
Peoria County State’s Attorney Jodi Hoos stated that prosecutors would continue to review the case.
The judge selected in the trial case against Oyler is Kevin Lyons.
