PEORIA, Ill. — A Peoria man convicted of a fatal shooting in 2018 was sentenced to 80 years in prison Friday.
Jamie Weyrick was found guilty November 6 in the shooting death of Terrance Stone, after a three-day jury trial.
Weyrick initially pleaded not guilty to charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Stone was found with gunshot wounds in the 900 block of W. Nebraska Avenue in July 2018. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
