PEORIA. Ill. — The Monarch Music Hall is no more.
The venue’s ownership group has decided not to renew the lease and will book no more shows. The final show was Chicago Farmer on Wednesday night.
On the venue’s Facebook page, Castle Productions thanked all the music fans that supported the Monarch. They also indicated that their other venue, the Castle Theatre in Bloomington, will remain open.
The ownership group took over the 1,500 seat Limelight Eventplex in 2017 and rebranded the location as the Monarch Music Hall.
The Monarch hosted a wide range of artists, from rockers “Hairbangers Ball” to the funk band “Here Come the Mummies.”
