The spring time was not helpful to farmers in Central Illinois, as the spring planting season was delayed by weeks.
Summer of 2019 was a hot one.
Peoria was crazy from the heat with record setting high temperatures in July.
The fall of 2019 had the wildest ride of all, with a high temp of 88 kicking off October 1st.
Peoria went from summer to winter in one of the shortest periods of time.
On October 31st, and trick-or-treaters went door to door in accumulating snow on Halloween.
And of course, fresh in our minds, Peoria saw its warmest Christmas on Record, as the mercury climbed to 63 degrees.
That record goes back to 1883.
“Central Illinois had some wild weather events to say the least in 2019,” said news partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins.
