PEORIA, Ill. — Light snow fell across Central Illinois Friday night, with accumulations in Peoria around 1.1 inches according to the National Weather Service.
Sie Maroon, with Peoria Public Works, said a minimal amount of snow fell early Saturday morning. But, as a precaution, the Peoria Snow Fighters treated primary routes with salt.
“Temperatures are hovering around 32 degrees, so the streets are mostly just wet. The snow is just sticking to the grassy areas. At this point, we aren’t expecting any issues with the snow,” Maroon said.
