PEORIA, Ill. — A slushy weekend of winter weather will start with snow Friday afternoon.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins forecasts 2-3 inches of snow will overspread the Peoria area just in time for the evening rush home Friday.
“The snow changes to a wind driven rain late Friday night into Saturday. Behind the system, a batch of cold air with highs in the teens and single digit lows Sunday and into next week,” Collins said.
Collins said the cold air will only be around a few days before the next warm-up.
