PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s street crews worked through the night Friday to clear snow, ice and slush from the city’s main routes.
Peoria Public Works’ Sie Maroon said the roads were in pretty good shape Saturday morning.
“We’ve already started on the residential streets. And, will run residential streets throughout the day today until we get those cleared. We want to get out in front of this deep freeze that we’re going to get into. And, get the snow and water off the streets,” Maroon said.
Maroon said there are some slick spots to contend with, but travelers just need to be cautious as they get out around Peoria.
