PEORIA, Ill. — Another wave of winter weather is expected to hit the Peoria area Wednesday afternoon.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins predicts snow will begin falling early Wednesday afternoon and end Thursday mid-day.
“Peoria will see three to four inches with isolated areas of five inches of snow, with most of it coming overnight,” Collins said.
Collins said motorists will likely deal with snow during Wednesday evening’s rush hour and Thursday morning’s commute.
Snow amounts will vary outside of the Peoria area.
“If you’re traveling, you’ll see lighter amounts north and heavier amounts south,” Collins said.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Lincoln for the Peoria Metro Area from noon Wednesday through noon Thursday.
