PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Metro saw blowing snow during the front end of Wednesday afternoon’s winter blast.
Despite an early evening break in the action, news partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said not to expect the respite to last.
“We’ll see a few breaks in the snow from time-to-time, but another wave overnight will add to what’s already fallen, “he said.
“Peoria is still in line for 2 to 4 inches after the snow ends Thursday morning. Strong, north winds will cause some blowing and but temperatures behind the system won’t be bitterly cold.”
A winter weather advisory was scheduled to last through noon on Thursday.
