MEDINA TOWNSHIP, Ill. — Peoria firefighters responded just before 6 a.m. Thursday to a mutual aid call from the Dunlap Fire Department.
Upon arrival, the home at 2028 Blackberry Lane was fully engulfed in flames.
It’s the second fire at the address this week. Fire crews were called there Tuesday night for a garage fire that spread to the home.
Fire Battalion Chief Clinton Kuhlman said Peoria sent three engine companies, one truck company and two commanding officers to the fire.
Crews brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes.
The home was considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
