PEORIA, Ill.–Peoria Police located a suspect wanted in connection with several armed robberies Monday in Peoria.
Gentry Maxison, 30, was taken into custody without incident at Sheridan and Nebraska in Peoria at 3:50 p.m.
Maxison was arrested on three counts of armed robbery.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said Maxison was a suspect in armed robberies at two dollar stores in Peoria.
“An incident February 2nd at the Dollar General on Forrest Hill, an incident February 4th at the Family Dollar on Western, and again February 8th at the Dollar General on Forrest Hill,” Dotson said.
In all three incidents, the suspect entered the business armed with a knife and demanded money and fled the area.
No injuries were reported.
Maxison was transported to the Peoria County Jail following his arrest.
