PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s main roads looked good Thursday morning heading into the commute to work.
Sie Maroon, with Peoria Public Works, said streets were in excellent condition for travel.
“We got them down to wet pavement. There is some wind-blown snow. And, just with that, there may be some glazing over. But, trucks are out there to maintain and monitor,” Maroon said.
As temperatures drop, conditions could change.
“We will be getting into the residential streets a little bit later on this morning, as long as the wind doesn’t affect us on the main arterials,” Maroon said.
Maroon asks motorists to drive with caution.
Peoria Public Works crews moved around 8:15 a.m. into the “A-B-C” residential route clearing.
Maroon said crews will remain on those routes until the city’s streets are completely cleared.
