PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called to the 1800 block of S. Griswold around 3:15 p.m. Thursday by a ShotSpotter alert with seven rounds fired.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said three suspects were seen running from the scene after shots were fired.
“One of them was caught immediately. The other two were taken into custody a short time later,” Dotson said.
The suspect caught immediately was 21-year-old Kieshawn Crowder, who was arrested on five charges: Aggravated Battery/Use Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Obstructing an Officer, and Possession of a Firearm without a FOID Card.
The two other suspects allegedly ducked into a house on Arago and out the back door. Officers caught them and took them into custody without incident.
Those suspects, Isaiah Nunn-Brown and Jayvion Lee, both of whom are 19-years-old, were each arrested on three of the same charges: Obstructing an Officer, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Possession of a Firearm without a FOID Card.
Additionally, Nunn-Brown faced a charge of Aggravated Battery/Use Deadly Weapon, while Lee was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
The victim was driven by private vehicle to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
