PEORIA, Ill. — There’s a new Vice President on the Peoria Park District Board of Trustees.
Trustee Matt Ryan was nominated Vice President for 2020 by President Robert Johnson.
Johnson said that the board rotates the position to a different board member every year, and Ryan has not yet filled the position during his tenure on the board.
“This year he decided that he wanted to be Vice President,” said Johnson. “We talked about it first, and then I nominated him to the position.”
Johnson also stated that Ryan’s experience serving on the board as well as his knowledge of the district as a whole that will help Ryan in the position.
“Matt has a good, strong background and I’m very confident that he will be very good as Vice President,” said Johnson.
Ryan was not present at the meeting to comment on his nomination to the new position.
