PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 8 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of N. Lynn. Five shots were fired.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said a short time later, officers located a man in the yard of a home in the 1500 block of N. Bigelow with a gunshot wound to his side.
“He was transported to a local hospital with what were described as serious, but not life-threatening injuries at this time,” Dotson said.
Police continue to investigate.
