EAST PEORIA, Ill. — A 33-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a 4-year-old East Peoria boy who died last week.
Lesli Jett is in custody of the East Peoria PD after being nabbed Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop in Creve Coeur.
East Peoria Police were called to the family’s Jefferson Court home February 18th by paramedics after the boy went into cardiac arrest.
He was taken off a ventilator Feb. 19 and was pronounced brain dead the next day.

EAST PEORIA, Ill. — The family of a East Peoria boy, whose injuries are under investigation, has said the 4-year-old has died.
An obituary, posted by a local funeral home, said the boy died Thursday, February 20.
Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood would only confirm that was the day the 4-year-old boy was pronounced brain dead. He’d been put on a ventilator the day before.
East Peoria Police were called to the family’s home February 18 by paramedics after the boy reportedly went into cardiac arrest.
The Tazewell County State’s Attorney’s Office is involved in an investigation.
No arrests have been made in the case.
