PEORIA, Ill. — Voters in six different Peoria County precincts will have to cast their Primary Election Day ballots in alternate locations.
Normal polling places Independence Village of Peoria, St. Sharbel Apartments, and Lutheran Hillside Village all notified the Peoria County Election Commission of their declination because of fears the coronavirus could be tracked in from the outside and adversely affect their elderly residents.
Independence Village voters (precincts PE80, 83, and 85) will be redirected to ICC Peoria, at 5407 N. University St.
St. Sharbel Apartments voters (precinct PE57) will vote at St. Paul Lutheran Church, at 1427 W. Lake Ave.
Finally, Lutheran Hillside Village voters’ (precincts PE86 and RI03) polling place for the March 17 Primaries was moved to Mossville Methodist Church, at 1015 E. Mossville Rd.
Alternatively, voters may request mail-in ballots at elections.il.gov through Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 P.M.
