GERMANTOWN HILLS, Ill. — The pastor at Willow Hill Church in Germantown Hills that the COVID-19 patient regularly attends posted a special announcement video Sunday morning on YouTube.
Pastor Bradley Watkins II gave an update on the patient’s health in the video.
“He is mildly ill, and we believe will make a full and complete recovery,” said Watkins.
Watkins also said that he, and other members of the church’s staff, are self-isolating.
“All of our staff at the church have made that same choice because of our concern for all people,” said Watkins in a phone interview. “Just to play it on the safe side even though we weren’t required.”
In the video, Watkins encouraged people to take proper precautions.
“We advise you to observe all those suggestions that have been offered by our health authorities,” said Watkins.
Among those suggestions offered by health authorities is self-isolating, washing your hands, social distancing, and not touching your face.
Watkins said that the patient had attended church at Willow Hill within the last two weeks. In addition, Watkins said that the patient has traveled lately.
Willow Hill Church is temporarily shut down.
