PEORIA, Ill. – Last weekend’s Whiskeydaddle races in Peoria were the last.
Race Director Adam White tells our news partner 25 News turnout was 40 percent lower than in 2019, the last year the race was held before COVID-19 last year cancelled it.
What’s more, White says t-shirts and medals for participants cost 30 percent more.
“We’re always trying to do more, provide more, be more impactful, do more for the greater good,” White told 25 News. “So, when faced with these hard decisions, it hurts.”
Owner Shazam Races will focus on other races it organizes.
